Join us on an Amazon Expedition in 2022!
A zero waste world meets plastic, oil and gas in a stark contrast
Snakes, birds, dolphins, pirahnas, caimans, monkeys, sloths, toucans...
Ancient plant knowledge has survived here for thousands of years
Laura is headed back to the Amazon Jungle, and this time YOU are invited!
There are only 6 spots per adventure, and all travel depends on Covid restrictions.
You must book your flight to Lima International Airport and book another flight from Lima to Iquitos, Peru. Flights from Lima to Iquitos are not expensive and a short flying time.
Once in Iquitos, you will be picked up from the airport and your adventure truly begins!
The trip will start off with a boat ride to a jungle lodge, where your meals will begin, and you will go to a wildlife reserve to see monkeys, sloths, toucans, snakes, and other jungle animals.
On Day 2, you will go on a birding jungle expedition to learn about local habitat and seasonal fluctuations on the Amazon River, and depending on the season, you may see the rare pink river dolphins!
Day 3 we will tour a jungle farm and learn about the food that grows in the jungle, and then head to a different lodge where we will pick up ghost nets and river plastic.
We will learn about ancient plant medicine and you will have the opportunity to participate in a healing ayahuasca ceremony lead by a local experienced shaman. If you don't want to do it, you can fly back to Lima or head down to Cusco and if you book a ticket ahead of time, you may be able to experience Machu Pichu.
